Employment Background Information

Our staff is fully qualified to lead children's hockey camps. The Management of Greg Carter's European Hockey Training Camp extensively reviews each prospective employee before hiring volunteers and full-time staff members. Our application process requires the following:

Application of Employment:

  1. Prior work history for previous five (5) years, including name, address and phone number of a contact person at each place of employment.
  2. Three (3) positive reference checks from individuals not related to the staff person.
  3. Self-reporting of any felony conviction.
  4. Criminal offender record information and juvenile report (CORI/Juvenile Report) from the Massachusetts Criminal History System Board (CHSB).
  5. Sex Offender registry Information (SORI) check from the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board (SORI).
  6. If the applicant is not a resident of Massachusetts, he or she must provide the following documentation:
    • Prior work history for previous five (5) years, including name, address and phone number of a contact person at each place of employment.
    • Three (3) positive reference checks from individuals not related to the staff person.
    • Self-reporting of any felony conviction.
    • Criminal offender record information and juvenile report (CORI/Juvenile Report) from the Massachusetts Criminal History System Board (CHSB).
    • Sex Offender registry Information (SORI) check from the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board (SORI).
    • Criminal record check, or equivalent where practicable, from the staff person’s country of residence. Information will be obtained from the country’s criminal information system, local Chief of Police, or other local authority with relevant information.

Application of Volunteer:

  1. Prior work history for previous five (5) years, including name, address and phone number of a contact person at each place of employment.
  2. Criminal offender record information and juvenile report (CORI/Juvenile Report) from the Massachusetts Criminal History System Board (CHSB).
  3. Sex Offender registry Information (SORI) check from the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry Board (SORI).
  4. Each applicant will have a background free of conduct which bears adversely upon his/her ability to provide for the safety and well being of the children.

The use of alcohol or drugs to an extent or in a manner that is determined by the Management of Greg Carter's European Hockey Training Camp to impair his/her ability to care for the children is prohibited.

Greg Carter's European Hockey Training Camp will maintain written documentation verifying the background and character for each staff member for three years.
